Altree’s Kingside Residences Planned for Scarborough's Cliffside Village

Located in the picturesque and historic Cliffside Village in Scarborough, Kingside Residences are planned to reflect Altree Developments’ vision for the future of this charming East Toronto neighborhood. Altree, a young development company, is committed to creating communities and will breathe new life into this area by seamlessly integrating Kingside into the neighboring low-rise buildings.

UrbanToronto recently interviewed Cezil Jondonero, Creative Manager at Altree Developments, who sheds light on the development’s importance to Scarborough’s evolving landscape: “Cliffside Village is a smaller community in Scarborough and close to the Scarborough Bluffs. There’s a lot of history there.

Jondonero noted that “Kingside Residences is the first multi-unit project in the neighborhood,” underscoring the pioneering role the project plays in the region. The project marks the beginning of multi-unit developments planned for the neighborhood and embodies Altree’s “strong belief.” in the potential of Cliffside Village.”

Kingside will showcase distinctive architecture that maximizes the exquisite views of the surrounding area, further enhanced by elegant levels and cascading terraces that artfully reflect the neighboring cliffs. The plans call for exposed glass elevators along Kingston Road, while the terraces offer panoramic views of Lake Ontario and downtown, with Jondonero noting the striking contrast of the magnificent views.

The harmony with nature is not only reflected in the external architecture, but is also woven into the interior design and furnishings curated by U31. The lounge features a natural stone fireplace and sun-kissed floors, botanical installations and nature-inspired design elements. “The intention to make it really gentle and peaceful with very neutral tones,” Jondonero noted.

A fitness center equipped with natural materials offers a range of machines and Pilates reformer beds. Tranquility extends to the yoga studio, which features linen-inspired wall paneling and wood accents.

The co-working area is open-plan and decorated in warm wooden tones. Common areas include the party room and private dining room.

The location offers the luxury of choosing between a quiet day at the lake or a lively day in the city. Jondonero illustrates this unique mix by saying: “Kingside Residences offers a lifestyle all its own. They live in this community where there are book clubs, golf courses, hiking trails and activities, but also shops and very quick transportation access to Kingston Road, which serves as a thoroughfare directly into town.”

The area is well served by buses along Kingston Road and Kennedy Road, providing easy access to Danforth Line 2 and Scarborough GO Station, as well as quick travel to Union Station. Additionally, residents can enjoy just a 30-minute drive to downtown Toronto or explore nearby locations such as Bluffers Park Marina and numerous parks along the Scarborough Bluffs.

With its well-connected location, unique design and abundance of amenities, Kingside Residences is a testament to Altree Developments’ commitment to providing a living experience that is both luxurious and harmonious with nature.
