Canada and Argentina enter the 2024 Copa America semi-finals in different but positive moods, just 90 minutes away from their group mates to secure a place in the final.
Argentina beat Canada 2-0 to open the tournament and did not concede a single goal in the group stage with 1-0 and 2-0 wins against Chile and Peru respectively, but will not be pleased that they were eliminated after conceding a late goal against Ecuador. advance to the semi-finals via penalty shootout.

Canada, meanwhile, is playing with the house money under new boss Jesse Marsch. The American has only been in charge for half a dozen games and the Canucks are taking part in the Copa America for the first time, but look at the results.
The loss to Argentina was followed by a 1-0 win over ten-man Peru and a goalless draw with Chile (0-0). Venezuela's impressive undefeated group stage then gave Canada a quarter-final place against the Vinotinto instead of Ecuador, which Marsch's team drew 1-1 and won on penalties.

Ecuador wasn't his best game and he missed his penalty but we're sure to see better in this reunion with Canada. Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez provide the firepower as the Argentine side look to make a Copa-World-Copa sandwich with two more wins.
