A Swiss chalet restaurant in Toronto has drawn the ire of local health inspectors and will be closed until the mess is cleaned up, inspected again and authorized to reopen.

The beachfront site at 2148 Queen St. West was marked for closure earlier this week after inspectors found 10 violations.

Among them were two key violations, including ‘failure to protect food from contamination or adulteration’ and ‘maintaining food property in a manner that permits a health hazard (insects)’.

The ones at Swiss Chalet Express, 2148 Queen St. E.

The restaurant is one of two businesses shut down by health inspectors this week. A longtime brunch restaurant in North York has been shut down after being subpoenaed for 7 violations.
