The healthcare sector has seen rapid transformation over the past decade with the advent of digital services, which has brought a range of investment opportunities.

TipRanks recognized Wall Street’s top 10 analysts in this space for identifying the best investment opportunities. These analysts outperformed their peers in stock selection and generated significant returns on their recommendations.

His best rating was on Viking Therapeutics (NASDAQ:VKTX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on therapies for metabolic and endocrine disorders. His VKTX share buy call from April 27, 2022 to April 27, 2023 brought an excellent return of 791.30%.

2. Brandon Couillard-Jefferies

Brandon Couillard is second on this list and has a 68% success rate. Couillard’s top recommendation is Exact Sciences (NASDAQ:EXAS), a provider of cancer screening and diagnostic tests. The analyst returned 450% from his buy recommendation for Exact Sciences stock from May 4, 2016 to May 4, 2017.

3.David Windley—Jefferies

Jefferies analyst David Windley is #3 on the list. Windley has a 68% success rate. His top recommendation was Medidata Solutions, a technology-based company with clinical expertise. Dassault Systemes later acquired Medidata. The analyst generated a turnover of 175.70% with a buy recommendation for MDSO from August 1, 2012 to August 1, 2013.

4. John Eade – Argus Research

John Eade is fourth on the list. The five-star analyst has an overall success rate of 69%. Eade’s best recommendation was Modern (NASDAQ: MRNA), a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. His call to buy MRNA stock generated a return of 265.90% from June 30, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

5. Michael Wiederhorn-Oppenheimer

Fifth-ranked analyst Michael Wiederhorn has a 66% success rate. His best recommendation is Community Health Systems (NYSE:CYH), a company engaged in the management and operation of hospitals. The analyst returned 298.2% for this stock from May 1, 2020 to May 1, 2021.

6. Charles Duncan – Cantor Fitzgerald

Charles Duncan is sixth. The analyst has a 52% success rate. His top recommendation was Novavax (NASDAQ:NVAX), a biotech company developing vaccines. Duncan’s buy call for NVAX stock delivered a solid 800% return from March 17, 2020 to March 17, 2021.

7. Yaron Werber – TD Cowen

Yaron Werber, an analyst at TD Cowen, ranks seventh on this list with a 65% success rate. Werber’s best decision was to buy shares in Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ: RARE), a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative medicines for rare and ultra-rare diseases. The recommendation generated a return of 267.50% from 12/18/2019 to 12/18/2020.

8. Geulah Life Hits – Chardan Capital

In eighth place is Geulah Livshits from Chardan Capital. Livshits has an overall success rate of 42%. The analyst’s top recommendation is Cabaletta Bio (NASDAQ:CABA), a clinical-stage biotech company focused on developing therapies for autoimmune diseases. Based on their call to buy CABA, the analyst has returned 800% from Oct 11, 2022 to date.

9. Richard Newter – Truist Financial

Richard Newter is ninth on the list. The five-star analyst boasts a 62% success rate. His top recommendation was on organogenesis (NASDAQ: ORGO), a regenerative medicine company providing products for advanced wound care and surgical biologics. The buy recommendation generated a return of 397.9% from 05/12/2020 to 05/12/2021.

10. Boris Peaker – TD Cowen

Boris Peaker ranks 10th on the list with a 47% success rate. Peaker’s best decision was to buy shares in Trillium Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company developing therapies to treat cancer. Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) later acquired Trillium. The recommendation generated an 800% return from January 7, 2020 to January 7, 2021.
