Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has again recorded Sirius XM shares and increased its participation in the satellite radio company to more than 35%.

The conglomerate based in Omaha, Nebraska, bought around 2.3 million shares for around $ 54 million at separate transactions on Monday evening. Berkshire now has 35.4% of Siriusxm.

Berkshire bought the trackers from Liberty Media in 2016 and started playing in Siriusxm's tracking shares in a probable Fusion Arbitrage in early 2024. The billionaire John Malones Liberty Media completed his deal in early September to combine his tracking shares with the rest of the radio company as part of the redesign of its extensive media empire. There was also a division of the baseball team from MLB in Atlanta Braves in a separate, publicly traded company, where Berkshire also has shares.

Buffett still has to publicly mention the Sirius betting, and it is not clear whether the 94-year-old investor is behind it or whether it is the work of his investment lieutenants, either Ted Weschller or Todd Combs. Berkshire also acquired around five million shares in December.

Siriusxm had a gross in 2024 with stocks of 58%when the company dealt with subscriber losses and unfavorable demographic changes. It is not a preferred stock of Wall Street. Of the 16 analysts that covered Siri, only three gave a merchanting.

The share rose by about 5% in the new year.
