Award-winning Italian restaurant opening new Toronto location

A much-admired Italian restaurant in Toronto is expanding its presence in the city with a brand new location.

Traditional Italian company Oretta, which currently has two branches in the city, is expanding again after announcing the latest addition to its fleet.

Founded by Capocaccia owner Salvatore Mele and chef Christian Fontolan, the restaurant opened its first location in King West in 2017, followed by a sister location in Yonge and Eglinton last year.

Now the chain is conquering the financial district.

According to a recent post on the restaurant's Instagram account, the new location will be 160 Front West, at the base of Cadillaw Fairview's new towering skyscraper.

The restaurant joins the ranks of a number of other hip Italian spots in the neighborhood, such as Edna + Vita, Cantina Mercatto and Scaddabush. Oretta's newest location will surely be in good company, if not stiff competition.

While the exact opening date has not yet been determined, Oretta confirmed to blogTO that it will be in 2025, with more details to come at a later date.

Until then, you can visit Oretta's existing locations at 633 King West and 2131 Yonge.
