UPDATE 8/1: The body of 27-year-old John Castic was found Tuesday afternoon in the English Kills area of Newton Creek in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Castic disappeared around 2:30 a.m. Saturday after leaving a Zeds Dead concert at the Brooklyn Mirage, where he was last seen.
“They found his body and confirmed it’s him,” his father Jeffrey Castic told Fox News Digital. “It appears to have been an accidental death. His wallet and phone were found on him.”
Castic’s body was found in the same body of water as another 27-year-old, Karl Clemente, after he was refused entry to the same venue in June.
Original story below:
The search continues for a 27-year-old senior Goldman Sachs analyst who went missing after a concert in the Brooklyn borough of New York early Saturday morning.
John Castic was last seen around 2:35am after attending the Zeds Dead concert at the Brooklyn Mirage in East Williamsburg on July 29th. According to reports, he was wearing a navy blue and white floral button-down shirt with khaki pants at the time of his disappearance, according to a missing-persons report issued by authorities and multiple agencies.
Castic’s friend Sarah Kostecka posted on Facebook about the disappearance: “I saw his last location early Saturday morning at 251 CST (351 EST). I’ve heard rumors from people that some creep asked them to get in a cab. “People near the Mirage – reminder to stay safe and check on your friends.”
Kostecka said she should walk down the aisle at her brother’s wedding to Castic next week.
“We just want to find John,” she wrote emotionally.
One of Castic’s friends has claimed on social media that the 27-year-old told his friends he would call an Uber back to his apartment but never made it home.
Have you seen John Castic? last seen around 2:30/3am at the Brooklyn Mirage.
He left saying he would call an Uber house but never made it back to his apartment.

Castic’s last pinged location was at the Mirage, according to his missing person’s poster, although sources told the New York Post that he was at 1133 Grand Street, which is about a half-mile from the venue.
A popular venue for EDM shows and raves, The Mirage is located outdoors in the Avant Gardner complex. It is open from May to October.
According to LinkedIn, Castic is a native of Illinois, graduated from DePaul University in 2020, and began his role at Goldman in August 2022.
The incident follows the disappearance and subsequent death of 27-year-old Karl Clemente, who went missing at the Mirage on June 11 after being denied entry to the venue. His body was later found in Newton Creek, which is about half a mile away.
Anyone with information on Castic’s disappearance is being asked to call the New York 5th Precinct.
Avant Gardner did not immediately respond to the entrepreneur’s request for comment.
