The city of Edmonton will be in focus when season 10 of The Amazing Race Canada concludes tonight at 8 p.m. on CTV.
On the final leg of the race, the final four teams compete in challenges at multiple locations throughout the city.
“The scenes that take place in tonight’s episode of The Amazing Race really showcase different areas of Edmonton,” said Sarah Jackson of Explore Edmonton.
“As a viewer, you get a comprehensive impression of the city in just the one-hour show, so it’s exciting,” she added.
In the final episode, the teams must climb almost 45 metres up the famous High Level Bridge before daring to take the leap into the unknown.
Spectators can also visit the University of Alberta's Butterdome and the Royal Alberta Museum. The final checkpoint appears to be on the field at Commonwealth Stadium.
“The opportunity to showcase Edmonton on the national and international stage brings excitement to our city,” said Mayor Amarjeet Sohi.
Explore Edmonton hopes viewers will see what the city has to offer and want to come visit for themselves.
“It boosts our local economy and brings in more visitors,” Jackson said.
