Environment Canada issues significant weather outlook statement for Wednesday

Environment Canada says there could be up to 20 centimeters of snow in parts of eastern Ontario on Wednesday.

The weather agency issued a “significant weather forecast” for southern Ontario on Saturday.

“Snow will affect most of southern Ontario, with snow depths reaching up to 20 cm in parts of eastern Ontario.” “At this point, confidence is still low due to the uncertainty of low track temperature,” the statement said.

The weather outlook is expected to begin at 12 p.m. Wednesday and continue until 12 p.m. Thursday, Environment Canada says.

Ottawa Weather Forecast

Environment Canada's forecast calls for a sunny day with a high of 7°C on Saturday. A low of 0°C is forecast overnight with a 60% chance of thunderstorms.

On Sunday temperatures will rise to a high of 10°C. Clear skies and lows of -3°C are also forecast.

A mix of sun and clouds with a maximum temperature of 12°C is forecast for Monday. It will also be cloudy at night in the capital and temperatures will drop to 0°C.

Tuesday will be cloudy with a high of 10°C and a low of 1°C.

The Met Office weather forecast calls for a snowy day on Wednesday with highs of 1°C and lows of -1°C.
