FIVERR has introduced a new freelancer equity program that aims to provide financial participation in the company on its platform. The initiative offers justified freelancers of up to 10,000 US dollars of FIVERR shares, whereby the share grants are distributed over four years on the basis of the annual admission requirements.
The program comes when the freelance economy continues its quick growth. Forecasts show that freelancers could make up half of the US workforce by 2027. FIVERR describes the program to offer freelancers additional financial value that goes beyond its regular income.
“Freelancers are the backbone of today's economy and the heart of the success of FIVERR,” said Micha Kaufman, founder and CEO of FIVERR. “With this initiative you not only shape the future of work – we actually give you a piece of it and make Fiverr not only a platform for work, but also a place where equity can also be earned.”
Freelancers who qualify for the program will be notified in the coming days. FIVERR states that the equity grants are structured in order to recognize and promote the ongoing excellence in high -performance freelancers and at the same time serve as a motivation for emerging talents on the platform.
“This is something that we have wanted to offer for a long time, and after careful development and extensive work, we have created a program about how we can build success together with our talent,” added Kaufman. “This initiative demonstrates our commitment to innovations not only in technology, but also in the way we appreciate and invest our talent community.”
The Freelancer Equity program is part of the broader efforts of FIVERR to deepen the commitment with its freelancer community and to reward those who contribute most clearly to the growth of the platform. The company emphasized that participation is subject to admission requirements and the applicable laws, including the US security regulations.
According to FIVERR, the program can serve as recognition for the current top -acting and as an up -and -coming goal for other freelancers of the platform.
