Almost 50,000 houses in Ontario are in the dark, since according to Hydroones default card, widespread power failures influence the province in the middle of a brutal ice storm.

Hydroone confirms that on Saturday afternoon there are over 49,000 houses in central and eastontario without electricity, since the freezer reverses tree branches and power lines.

“The power failures remain due to freezing rain in Central & Eastern Ontario,” said the supply company in one position on X and assured the public that “the crews work as quickly and safely as possible”.

The Hydroone Social Media Post warns the public to “remain safe, to hold back lines”.
