Yayoi Kusama's infinity mirrors is coming back to the AGO in Toronto

Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room will be reopening soon and is officially part of the Toronto AGO permanent collection.

Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors temporary exhibition was a huge hit a few years ago, and AGO recently acquired a permanent space by the Japanese artist.

Titled INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM – LET’S SURVIVE FOREVER, the exhibition features mirrored spheres hanging from the ceiling and a mirrored column that allows you to see an infinite field of silver spheres.

Almost 5,000 people took part in the AGO’s crowdfunding campaign to keep the Instagram-famous room in the museum forever.

The exhibition opens for AGO members on June 14th and for the general public on June 22nd.

Only four people can enter the room every sixty seconds, so make sure you have your phone handy to quickly snap your pictures.

Admission to the exhibition is included in the price of admission, but you must book a timed reservation at the AGO.

Reservations are only possible for same-day visits and on a first-come, first-served basis. For the best view of this exhibition, you should arrive at the museum early.
