You can rent Doug Ford's family cottage in Ontario on Airbnb

Premier Doug Ford's former family home is now a luxury rental property, but a stay at the Ford family retreat in Muskoka comes at a premium.

The cottage on Fawn Lake – between Bracebridge and Huntsville – has been listed on the short-term rental platform Airbnb and offers tourists the opportunity to stay in an exclusive property that made headlines throughout Ford's controversial political dynasty.

The Airbnb listing offers an “entire cottage in Huntsville” with space for eight guests and currently has a rating of 4.78 out of 5 stars.

The ad, hosted on the platform by Ford's daughter Kayla, reads: “Welcome to our beautiful year-round lakefront vacation home located close to the amenities of the cities of Bracebridge and Huntsville.”

“Located on a quiet private road two hours from Toronto, this beautifully renovated four bedroom, two bathroom cottage is surrounded by nature and has everything you need for a relaxing city break!”

NEW:
For $750/night (September rates) you can experience the old Ford family cottage via Kayla's AirBnb. Not sure if this counts towards the province's housing goals. pic.twitter.com/LlUNdf27I2

In addition to simply marveling at the Ford family estate, guests are promised year-round activities, including winter fun such as “ice skating, hiking, skiing in Hidden Valley and various winter activities in Arrowhead Park” as well as an outdoor wood-burning fire pit.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy prime terrain for ATV or snowmobile riding, plus there are summer activities like a private boat dock and boat ramp. The cottage even offers a registered massage therapist who can be booked.

The offer is currently fully booked until early September, and even then it costs a whopping $750 per night to enjoy the Ford family cottage with a minimum three-night stay.
