Massey is one of the last two refugees who are still on the run.
One of the last refugees in New Orleans triggered his innocence in a new video on social media.
A video of a man who apparently escaped Antoine Massey was released on Instagram on June 1st. According to Nola, the officials began to examine the authenticity of the clip. It showed a man with the same facial tattoos as the 32-year-old.
In the video, Massey made several claims about the New Orleans prison, including his own innocence in relation to the crimes that brought him there. However, the clip was quickly deleted the following afternoon after news sources had grasped wind.
“You say that I broke out. I didn't break out. I was left out,” said the man that was not to be processed in the film material.
He then divided his motif behind the escape from prison and quoted his potential lifelong prison for his alleged several crimes.
“The reason why I left prison is that these people tried to give me a lifelong prison in both communities for something I didn't do,” he continued.
Massey was one of the 10 imprisoned men who had escaped from Orleans Justice Center in May. Since their run, which made national headlines, eight inmates have been recaptured. Only Massey and Derrick Grove stay on the streets.
The man in the video also withdrawn the story of a prison plumper, Sterling Williams, who was supposed to be involved in helping men. According to reports, the 33-year-old civilian has said to cut the water in a prison cell to help men get out of a hole behind a broken toilet.
Williams told New Orleans police that Massey threatened to send him. Massey, however, denies the accusation.
“Sterling [Williams] Flat-out lied to me, ”said Massey.
The police also denied Williams' lawyer that his client complained of this claim against Massey. However, the accusation would keep up with Massey's crime history. He held charges for motor vehicle theft and battery for domestic abuse, which included strangulation. The escape was also charged in another community because it was suspected of kidnapping and rape.
Massey has a lengthy recording that goes back over 15 years, many of which are considered violent crimes. He even tried to free himself from his detention, including the manipulation of two ankle monitors. According to WWLTV, other participants were arrested as accomplices to hide the occupants.
The police continue to look for him and his colleague Escapee, while this prison brings the wages for another week. The prison has increased its reward for all with information to 50,000 US dollars that can lead to the suspect.
