Cladding Advances on 50 Scollard in Yorkville

Since the last update of urbantoronto, when 50 scollard had recently stopped at the beginning of 2025, the glazing and the adjustment of the cladding have now covered a large part of the clearly tiered and slim shape of the tower. The luxury owner apartment of Lanterra Developments increases from Foster + Partners with Arcadis as an architect of record. The slim tower continues to take shape in the neighborhood of Toronto in Bloor -Yorkville in Toronto, northwest of another foster -shaped building, one Bloor West, which recently exceeded the “Supertall” clamp.

In the West Elevation in April 2025 from the other Bay Street, she shows the ongoing installation of her bronze, framed three-part windows in chicago style, which at that time had reached 17 floors in the middle and 13 along the volume on the right side. Prefabricated aluminum spandrel plates were installed between the concrete floor panels.

In the north and south, contrasting treatment is underway, whereby the cladding consists of prefabricated panels, a large part of which has a coldish texture that reinforces the slim proportions of the building and at the same time offers a tactile counterpoint for smooth cladding elsewhere. In the following in June 2025, the frequency case reached the 29th floor in the northern height, the second step back. In the west height, the window installation is visible up to the 23rd floor. The structure of the mechanical penthouse housing is underway on the structure, whereby the screens are followed. The crane stays in operation on the west side and was integrated into the broader structure in the lower values.

This month we come near the podium along the Bay Street, where the prominent Overhang projects on the second floor above the street on the ground floor. The concaves vertical pillars and reveal elements are dressed with light masonry. Steel steel frames are exposed along the underside of the cantilever, and the glazing installation is not completed on the right.

In the Scollard Street to the northwest, the East Elevation contains the window sections up to the 25th floor in the middle and right and reaches the 26th floor left. Remarkably, the back of the concrete elevator and the stair seeds are also covered with suitable glazing, a rare design movement that preserves the visual continuity of the facade despite the empty walls behind it. The exceptionally narrow floor slab of the tower, with almost all units to the west, reveals this kernels instead of its central location in more typical buildings. On the floor, the houses of the inheritance that were moved somewhat moved on site remain behind scaffolding. Monitored by ERA architects is their resotration, while closer to the camera, the red brick is placed on the newly built garage entrance.

With a view to northeast via Scollard and Bay, the step mass is on display. In most sections of the southern height there is now the favorite, while the window installation is much higher than before. The curtain glazing is available near the soil, except where the construction work runs.
