A Bloor West, Skytower reaches both 85 floors, but one is bigger

A Bloor West and SkyTower in Pinnacle One Yonge continue to rise, since the future 'superstalls' in urbantorontos remain the most respected database files and the most active forum threads. Both towers are now on 85 floors, but despite this numerical tie, a Bloor West initially has a considerable height in height after reaching the 300 m mark when the construction on its crown begins. It is a clear memory that the number of stores alone does not determine the stature of a building: varying heights and crown structures for soil and crowns determine the final measurement.

Urbantoronto recently reported on Tridels One Bloor West in June 2025, when the tower, which was designed by Foster + Partners with core architects, reached the “Supertall” clamp of 300 meters, while in May 2025 Urbantoronto an update and a tour of Pinnacle International Archtecto -Huchtower Archttor -Hupracle -Ande -jonbantor from Harbari architects delivered.

A small variance application that was submitted at the beginning of this year was part of the mechanical penthouse of Skytower as a habitable space and officially adds a 106th floor without changing the mass or footprint of the tower. The same application also increased the ceiling height on the upper residential floors and contributed to its final planned planned height of 351.85 m. In contrast, a Bloor West reaches 308.6 m over only 85 floors due to a larger distance from floor to toe.

A look at her tops over her architectural drawings shows why a Bloor West is currently greater than SkyTower on 85 floors, even if Skytower will finally surpass you a lot. The design for a Bloor West shows the concrete slab of level 85 at 292.275 m, while the crown, which includes its coordinated mass deaper (TMD), brings the building to 308.6 m. A few steel rays that will be part of the crown currently reach just over 300 m.

In contrast, SkyTower only reaches 263.85 m in the 85th floor plate, with another 21 floors plus mechanical penthouse levels and TMD before it is concerned. Remarkably in the picture below, the floor heights are recorded as above the sea level in contrast to an above -average note. Therefore, we have adjusted four key heights (observed in red) by subtracting 76.8 m of the total in order to take into account the amount of the average degree relative to sea level.

It is the following levels that make the biggest difference: a bloor vest has several floors extra-high soils on and near the floor, while Skytowers are not quite as ambitious. If you also climb the buildings, the typical floor height of Bloor West is 3.3 m from the plate to the next, while Skytowers is 3.25 m and only 5 cm less. While this difference adds up over many floors, a Bloor West also has four mechanical sections with two levels, each with 9.075 m high, which are also larger than three pairs of extra high floors on skytower, in which horizontal gangs can be seen.

A unique appearance from Bloor West to the north on the Yonge Street is characterized by Megakolumns, from which the brackets extend diagonally and hold up the corners of each set of six floors, which are divided into 18-story sections, which are separated by inlet mechanical levels. The building (RCS) of the building has approximately the 65th floor, whereby the cladding installation takes place behind it.

The concrete megacolumn increases to level 85, while recently built steel rays from its crown project upwards and mark the beginning of the framing for the coordinated mass tympia dampers with the start of the building. Along the pages, blue weather protection panels remain in place after the removal of several corner jewels and side shapes, whereby the corner plate can be poured in order to catch up with the core.

The tower looks north for Skytower and just reaches its 85th floor. The curved mass shows white vertical fins that emphasize the verticality of the tower. While the RCS-G screens cover the top floors, the two horizontal accent tapes serve in the 56th and 57th floors as clear visual markings, so that the viewers can estimate the number of ground upwards. Compared to a bloor vest, SkyTower presents a more fluid and more continuous shell, which is achieved by a built -in curtain wall system with less horizontal accents.

Finally, this closer view to the southeast shows the northern height glazing to the 58th floor, directly above the horizontal accent ribbons in the floors 56 and 57, while the curtain glazing now includes parts of the 62nd level. At the top of black protective screens circles the RCS-G compared to the blue screens on a Bloor West. To the left behind it, the 65-story Pinnacle One Yonge First Phase Tower, the prestige, is 217 m.

Ultimately, Pinnacle One Yonges Skytower will exceed a Bloor vest in height. As soon as the construction of the 96th stock walls that hold the 97th floor are in progress, Skytower reaches the 300 -M threshold, but it will continue to pass a Bloor -West crown from Bloor West, at 351.85 million, higher than any other building that is currently under construction in Canada, in Canada or even planned.

Urbantoronto will continue to follow progress in these developments. In the meantime, however, you can find out more about you from our database files linked below.
