Sugar Shot | UrbanToronto

The St. Lawrence Seaway just set a record for the last completion of a shipping season in its history – on Jan. 12 – when ice clearance at the Beauharnois Locks southwest of Montreal delayed the passage of the last ships booked for passage. The result was the unloading of raw sugar at the Redpath refinery in Toronto Harbor on January 14, resulting in this dramatic nighttime shot.
