The two women are currently undefeated and plan to have another fight before the two meet in the ring
A fight between two undefeated fighters is in the works, as a boxing promoter says a planned two-fight “home versus home” series will feature boxers Claressa Shields and Lauren Price.
According to an interview with BBC News, promoter Ben Shalom said that Price, whose record is 10-0 after her last fight against Stephanie Pineiro, will face Shields in the near future. The deal is expected to see one fight in the United States and the other in Price’s hometown of Cardiff, Wales.
Shalom spoke to BBC Radio Wales Breakfast and told the media outlet about the two women’s tentative boxing plansMen: “One time in the US and then hopefully one time where we can come to either Cardiff City Stadium or Cardiff Castle and do that in June next year. She’s selling out too quickly at this (Utilita) arena. She needs something bigger.”
Even though there is no talk of the women fighting for titles, the impeccable record of both women is at stake.
DAZN reported that Shields was at Price’s most recent fight, which Price won via unanimous decision. Shields spoke with Price and confirmed that the matches were in the works and confirmed that she and Price will have one more match before they meet in the ring.
“When you’re an Olympic champion, you’re a special fighter,” Shields told her. “Me and you talked online and me and you can make it happen, you guys did great tonight. No disrespect to you guys, you’ve got a little bit of time. I’ve got one more fight and then we can fight at the end of the year.”
Shields is 18-0 with three knockouts following her last fight, which took place in February 2026, when she defeated Franchón Crews-Dezurn by unanimous decision.
Price also wants the fight and believes it will be “great.”
“It’s a great fight, but it’s not just one fight. I said to her tonight, ‘Let’s do it, I’ll come to America and then you’ll come to Wales’ and she was all over it. Hopefully we can do it.”
