The actress and entrepreneur lists her estate in Encino
Selena Gomez, the actress, singer and founder of makeup brand Rare Beauty, has listed the home that became famous as the setting for her HBO cooking series “Selena + Chef,” which debuted in August 2020. The approximately 11,400-square-foot, six-bedroom home in Encino was listed for $6.5 million, which the listing describes as the “sale price.”
Ms Gomez bought the house in early 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when she was still single. In December 2024, Ms. Gomez bought a $35 million estate in Beverly Hills with her then-fiancé, songwriter and producer Benny Blanco – they married in September 2025.
The house sits at the end of a gated driveway in Encino, an affluent Los Angeles suburb in the San Fernando Valley. Built in 1989, the house was the former residence of musician Tom Petty; It features exposed vaulted ceilings, generous skylights and includes a wine cellar, gym, cinema, massage room, beauty salon and music room. Outside there is a cabana, a fire pit, an outdoor dining area and a pool with a waterfall.

Built in 2014, the property features a spacious 2,100 square foot main house with a private first floor master bedroom suite and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The second building on the property, a 1,500 square meter guest house, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and is connected to the main house via a stone path through the dunes.
The complex features a pool, an outdoor kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings. According to Jonathan J. Miller, president of Miller Samuel Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants, if the home sold at the asking price, it would be the most expensive sale on Fire Island.
