The new AI Assistant combines Salesforce's Agentforce platform and Einstein AI with Workday's platform and AI capabilities. This integration enables the Assistant to perform various service tasks for employees, increasing productivity and reducing costs. The AI Assistant communicates in natural language and provides personalized assistance based on combined HR and financial data from Workday and CRM data from Salesforce.

The AI employee service agent seamlessly transfers complex cases to the appropriate human representative, ensuring that all previous history and context is preserved. This human-AI collaboration is designed to improve employee experience and efficiency across all organizations.

Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO of Salesforce, was excited about the new platform. “The AI opportunity for every company is to empower its employees and deliver incredible customer experiences,” he said. Carl Eschenbach, CEO of Workday, emphasized the importance of the partnership, saying: “By integrating our platforms, data sets and powerful AI capabilities, Salesforce and Workday enable our customers to deliver unmatched AI-powered employee experiences.”

The partnership will also provide a common data foundation that connects Workday financial and HR data with Salesforce CRM data, allowing customers to access and leverage data on both platforms without duplication. Additionally, Workday will improve its integration with Slack, allowing users to collaborate on Workday records directly in Slack.

Employees benefit from instant support through natural language conversations, whether they're working in Salesforce, Slack, or Workday. The AI assistant provides contextual support and automates solutions across platforms, streamlining tasks like onboarding, self-service HR, and continuous development.

Sal Companieh, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Cushman & Wakefield, highlighted the benefits of the partnership. “The ability to streamline workflows across two of our most widely used platforms – Workday and Salesforce – and provide our employees with more personalized, AI-powered experiences will be critical for us,” he said.

Employers also benefit from this collaboration. By integrating HR, financial and operational data into advanced AI models, Salesforce and Workday are improving workforce planning, financial planning and sales enablement. R “Ray” Wang, CEO of Constellation Research, Inc., emphasized the importance of this integration. “The shared data foundation of Workday and Salesforce enables these partners to deliver AI capabilities that could completely transform the employee experience.”
