Organizers call Canada’s Farm Show a success after 22,000 people attended the annual event in Regina.
A press release from the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) said that when the show was repeated in 2023, the number of visitors increased by 20 percent compared to the previous year.
“The enhanced programming supports our pillars of innovation, education and collaboration,” said Kirk Westgard, vice president of agriculture at REAL, in a press release.
“Our new and returning initiatives ensure there is something for everyone. We are building on the agtech revolution happening in this sector and looking for new areas like agricultural value and careers.”
The three-day event ran from June 20-22 and featured agriculture-related presentations from 350 exhibitors, with a focus on agtech with the event’s 24-hour startup competition.
A total of 33 teams were able to present their Agtech ideas to a panel of experts from across the country.
The three winners of the competition were awarded innovation prizes.

InputsPro invented by Kristen Timmerman of InputsPro Inc.
According to the press release, 115 international visitors from 70 countries around the world also took part in the fair.
Organizers say $81 million in sales were generated during the three-day event.
The total economic impact for the Regina region is expected to be US$19.2 million.
