Featuring the colours of autumn – which have faded somewhat since their unveiling in 2015 – and selected by Douglas Coupland from the Laurentian Pencil Crayon range, the pylon stands against a sea of emerald leaves, while the towers of downtown Toronto form a broken distant horizon. The colourful pylon, one of four on the Emerald City condominium site at Sheppard and Don Mills, represents the approaching fall season. In the background of this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor kris, towers represent our economic strength and ambition, while a pair of cranes drag some of our newest exclamation points ever further into the sky.
