Park Road's Exterior Nearing Completion in Bloor-Yorkville

Since UrbanToronto’s last update in October 2025, the 28-story Park Road condominium in Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighborhood has been completed and the crane removed. Designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects for Capital Developments, the project is located on a compact triangular site bounded by Church Street, Collier Street and Park Road and features a distinctive wedge-shaped massing with a sweeping curve for the south facade.

In March 2026, Park Road below had reached its full height. The mechanical penthouse was fully finished but still uncovered, with exposed concrete walls over the finished residential floors and glazing along parts of the upper enclosure. Gold-colored, prefabricated aluminum panels and reflective floor-to-ceiling glazing envelop nearly the entire façade, accented by projecting post caps and slim framing elements. The top residential floor also remains uncovered, while the construction elevator continues upwards along the north facade.

In April 2026, a huge Mammoet mobile crane occupied Church Street as the crane was dismantled and mechanical equipment on the roof was lifted into place. The fully extended multi-axle Liebherr LTM 1650 is stabilized by supports protruding above the road and powerful counterweights at the rear. Behind, the western facade of Park Road highlights the tower’s wedge-shaped profile as the floor plates narrow towards the northern end of the site.

By May 2026, the crane was gone and the gold-colored panel system extended across all residential floors, while the construction elevator remained attached to the north facade. From this angle we see the tapering western facade of Park Road and its series of stepped cantilevers and projecting balconies.

Another shot from May, this time from a balcony near the top of One Bloor East, showed the expansive south facade tracing Church Street below. Parts of the mechanical penthouse remain unfinished, while the plan of the tower can be clearly seen from above, widening to the east and tapering to the west. The mechanical housing on the roof occupies the wider eastern part of the roof.

This month we look at the east side from across Church Street and Park Road. Vertical slats divide the first three floors, while changes around the fourth floor create both a cantilever and a stepback, creating a transition between the lower levels and the tower above. From the 15th floor onwards, balconies add depth to the otherwise flat facade. At grade, temporary fencing and construction preparations remain in place while finish work progresses, while a mobile work platform positions workers under the fourth-floor boom along the south facade to complete the soffit and exterior details.

With the exterior facade of the lower levels now largely completed, attention has shifted to the mechanical penthouse. Most of the west wall and curved south facade are now covered with cladding, while sections at the very top are exposed, awaiting final installation. White and orange tarps cover active work areas, above which a parapet wall traces the profile of the building, interrupted by an opening along the south side. Materials and equipment will remain housed on the tapered west end of the roof as the work moves toward completion.

Park Road is 97.43 m high and will house 303 condominiums.
