UrbanToronto Year-End Poll: Vote On The Best Buildings of 2023!

It's that time of year again! After another 365 days of city-building, we're back with our tenth annual UrbanToronto year-end reader survey. The survey is your chance to vote on your favorite new builds completed in the last 12 months.

With our expanding coverage beyond Toronto and its satellite cities, we have a record-breaking tally of 75 buildings to choose from this year. To make voting easier and group more similar projects together, we've moved away from 5 categories for you to vote on 8! We only take on projects where we have photographic confirmation of the complete condition of the building. Therefore, some projects that were completed at the end of 2022 but did not have good photos at that time may appear in this year's list.

The candidates are grouped into size categories so you can vote for your favorite in each of the following categories:

  • 6-7 floors – 14 projects
  • 8-9 floors – 13 projects
  • 10-14 floors – 10 projects
  • 15-19 floors – 9 projects
  • 20-24 floors – 9 projects
  • 25-34 floors – 8 projects
  • 35-49 floors – 8 projects
  • Over 50 floors – 4 projects

If you click on the survey you will notice that we have an image for each building. But If you would like a more detailed look, there is a link embedded in the project's name that will take you to our database file for it where you can find renderings, or if you click on the associated forum thread link, more photos below the posts.

Buildings are generally arranged from shortest to tallest in the survey. At the end of this article you will find a link to the survey. But first, a quick reminder of last year's winners by size category. the renovation and expansion of Massey Hall, Ace Hotel Toronto, 75 on the Esplanade, The Parker and TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums:

In the meantime, keep spreading the word! The more votes, the better the survey reflects people's opinions about the region's development. You do not have to be an UrbanToronto member to vote. Express your opinion on this year's candidates and share the poll on social media using the hashtag #UrbanTorontoPoll. Click this link to take the survey now…and enjoy!
