A crossing in East York could soon have a dramatic scale, with a development application for 793–797 O'Connor Drive being submitted. Designed by Studio JCI for 2027708 Ontario Limited, a 16-story condominium is proposed to rise on the southeastern corner of O'Connor Drive and St. Clair Avenue East. It would introduce delimerium units and retail surfaces into the low-rise district of O'Connor-Parkview.

The immediate area has no comparable precedents, with larger developments only be closer to the main transit lines. Four TTC bus routes converge at the intersection and offer access to Danforth Line 2 and the upcoming Eglinton Line 5, both over 2 km south or north.
The location over two packages with 2654 m² over two packages forms an irregular property. Currently, 793 O'Connor contains a freely detached house of a deteriorated state, with the rear courtyard striking in a haul gorge that is part of a designated natural heritage. The proposed development takes place from the long-term stable top-of-slope, whereby a 10 m buffer was created by a marginal stewardship plan created by urban forest members.

The surrounding context is different, including commercial buildings with low buildings and residential areas in the north and west as well as in the Taylor-Massey Creek and in the parking country mainly in the south. Although the intersection is a certain transit corridor in the official plan, the immediate context remains low.
Elevate Planning & Project Management submitted official plan and changeover applications to the city of Toronto on behalf of the developer. The building rises to a height of 55.53 m and would insert 219 condominium units on a 4- to 6-story podium, which envelops the O'Connor and St. Clair fronts of the location. The entire gross base area is proposed with 16,145 m², whereby 15,936 million for living use and 209 m² are divided into two commercial bays on the road. The total density results in a floor surface index with a 6.20 -fold loosening.

Interior and outdoor disposal are planned on the second floor and on the roof level and offer 581 m² indoors and 314 m² outdoors. The building would be operated by two elevators that correspond approximately one for 110 units, a ratio that requires high -speed engines for appropriate response times. Almost 45% of the units are planned as a two- and three bedroom suites in response to apartment needs in family size.
A two -story underground garage would offer residents 31 parking spaces for vehicles, 15 and 8 for retail. The proposal also includes 197 long-term and 44 short-term bicycle parking spaces.

The location has direct access to four TTC bus lines, whereby the stops around the O'Connor and St. Clair intersection are located. The surrounding Street Network also offers connections to bike paths and Don Valley Parkway exchange.

While the immediate context around the location remains low, an gradual intensification in the broader area is in progress. Northeast of the site, a 10-story building is proposed at 968 O'Connor. In larger developments, lines 2 and 5 and west of the Don Valley Parkway are concentrated. Further southeast on the other side of the river, the Bela Square ends the construction on 35 floors with a proposed 40-story second phase. To the west of the Don Valley, the one with the Ontario Line in connection with the Ontario Line in connection with six towers of 13 to 56 floors.
