Beija Flor Travel starts a bird watching expedition in New York.

Beija Flor Travel Inc., a black ownership tour company, starts a lasting American expedition in New York for May 2025.

The company promotes the tour as a “cultural bird expedition”, which the black community should include in Vogel observer. Experienced bird observers enjoy rare bird watching. However, the main goal of the company is to promote the growing interest in watching birds. According to the company's website, the focus is on beginners and occasional bird watchers.

The initiative uses a lower research market in bird observation. A study by the US fish and wild animal service showed that only 9,315 bird observers identify as black.

These statistics underline a significant opportunity to expand participation in the pastime. The bird watching industry generates a turnover of billions of dollars and the local economy benefits from tourism.

The same study showed that bird observers in 2022 estimated $ 14 billion for excursions and 93 billion US dollars for equipment. As a result, the expenditure for the trip is a blessing for the local economy. Almost half of the travel expenses are assigned to food and accommodation. Thirty -six percent went to transport, and the remaining 15 percent additional costs such as guiding fees, user fees and equipment rents.

The upcoming expedition of Beija Flor Travel Inc. aims to offer a cultural and free time experience and to promote diversity in the bird observation community. Bird observers are becoming increasingly popular. The company's initiative could help to arouse the Black Community's interest and create new opportunities for participants and local companies.

Beja Flor Travel offers expeditions in Dominica and Kenya for international travelers. The participants of the Kenyan tour will research historically important bird areas (IBAS) and UNESCO World Heritage Sur only. Washington Wachira will lead the tour.

Bertrand JNO Baptiste, also known as Dr. Birdy ”, the Dominican tour will lead. Possible sightings are Imperial Amazon (or “Sissero”), red-containing Amazon (or “Jaco”), blue-headed Kolibri and Plumbous-Waldbler.
