The 53-year-old trained the creator.
An unknown content creator learned a lesson about disrespecting legends after Grammy winner Busta Rhymes grilled him for referring to him as comedian Tracy Morgan during a photo call.
Before stepping down, the creator was heard saying, “It's Tracy Morgan out here,” while Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor George Smith Jr., was visibly upset. He asked the little boy to repeat himself as people agreed, reminding him that he messed up.
Rhymes didn't back down until the creator offered an explanation.
The artist was heard asking him: “Who is Tracy Morgan?”
“You’re not Tracy Morgan?”
Someone in the crowd tried to enlighten the creator: “It’s Busta Rhymes, n***a.” Viewers began to notice what was going on.
Later in the video, the 53-year-old “Touch It” rapper informed the creator. “You don't play with no grown man, little boy. You can fuck yourself for that,” he said.
Several alleged content creators have come under fire over the years for “playing pranks” on high-profile celebrities. In 2012, Will Smith made headlines after he slapped a journalist for trying to kiss him on the lips as he walked the red carpet before the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3.
Most recently, singer and actress Ariana Grande did a fan jump on the yellow brick street carpet during the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good in November 2025.
According to People, a man wearing a white shirt and shorts sprinted toward Grande and tried to pull her toward him. A visibly frightened Grande tried to escape him. Co-star Cynthia Enrivo also tried to protect her friend.
In the comments section of the now-viral Busta video, people seemed to be in favor of the rapper teaching the child.
“It doesn't matter how old he is. These young people are too comfortable disregarding other people's views/likes/content. If you don't check them early, they will think it's okay and then do it to the wrong person…” @21lola_rebma wrote on Instagram.
Anyone who follows the Brooklyn-born artist knows that he doesn't take the feeling of being hurt lightly. In 2023, Busta threw a drink in a woman's face after she grabbed his butt to get his attention for a photo.
