Although no other details were announced, he played in the team's Christmas game against the Golden State Warriors. He helped the Nuggets win the game 120-114 after scoring 16 points, grabbing ten rebounds and dishing out three assists.

ESPN reported that Gordon required 21 stitches following the dog attack.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone spoke about the team having his back as he recovers from the dog bites.

“He perseveres. Obviously it was a very traumatic experience and the most important thing I told him is to take as much time as you need. We are a family – wins, losses and when people go through hard times like Aaron is going through right now.”

“We stand behind him. We love him. We are there for him. So whenever he can come back, we will open our arms and hug him. I told all the boys to approach him and make sure he never feels like he’s on an island.”

Gordon is averaging 13.6 points and 6.9 rebounds for the Nuggets, who currently have a 22-10 record.
