Dual-Tone Brickwork Reaches Final Floors at Leaside Common on Bayview

Since the last update of urbantoronto in November 2024, the cladding for Leaside Common continues to have been performing in the Bayview Avenue project south of the Eglinton Avenue. The nine-story mid-rise was designed by BDP Quadrangle for Gairloch developments and comes from the leaside station on the upcoming Eglinton line 5. The project is shown by its handmade dual-tone lick cladding.

The glazing has progressed since the last update of urbantoronto, whereby the black-framing window units are now mainly available up to the eighth floor in both visible surveys. In December 2024 to the northwest, the installation of the brick cladding along the southern height is completed, while the Bayview Frontage oriented to the east is prepared with green and white weather protection. A mast climbing platform is stationed on the fourth floor, in which the ongoing masonry installation is supported.

In January 2025, Image offers a close -up supervision of the North End of the East Höhe and the articulation of its facade between the second and fifth floor. The cladding here uses bricks in a horizontal ongoing binding, with embedded and projected pillars create a sculptural, acordonone -like rhythm. Stagated brick details include stacked binding in selective areas near the black-framed window units with spandrel panels.

In April 2025, the cladding now extends over the lower four levels of the south and the central bays, with the crews on the fourth floor continued. The glazing of forerunners is largely installed on the grade on the retail front.

The brick installation has reached the sixth floor by May 2025. On the upper floor, a decline in steps passes the massage into a curtain road, in which glazing panels form a regulated network with horizontal and vertical posts.

This month, a wide view to the south is shown via the BayView Avenue, which is installed the east -height near the full enclosure with Brick to the sixth floor at the North End and fully completed in the south. Three mast climbing platforms are active: two at the southern end and one to the north. In contrast to the southern height, with the exception of the window panels in the upper levels, the northern height on the right is no longer as a window. Maurer with consistent pre -mixed material delivers a portable mortons at the North End.

In this recent point of view to the northwest, the last stages of the masonry are underway on the upper floors of the north end. The mass of the building is clearly expressed here, the facade is divided into two different volumes that flank a glazed central hub. In this above all complete containwall volume is the most important lobby and municipal amenities defined by glazing with vertical posts.
