This broke out record of 15 start -up blacks in the last season
In the last football season, 15 black quarterbacks for NFL teams were a record, and this year this record is broken because 16 black football players who are supposed to start the season as the start quarters of their team.
According to the USA Today, 16 black men are when the NFL opened the 2025-2026 season, 16 black men in the position, who consider most sports enthusiasts as the most important thing on the rust. These players are Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, Geno Smith, Jayden Daniels, Lamar Jackson, Spencer Rattler, CJ Stroud, Cam Ward, Justin Fields, Bryce Young, Jordan Love, Michael Penix, Jr., Caleb Williams and CJ Stroud.

With 32 NFL franchise companies, this is 50% of the league with black start quarters.
The first black quarterback that won a super bowl (Super Bowl XXII), said Doug Williams that he had predicted that this performance would take place less than two years ago.
“I said about a year and a half ago that half of the league will be black quarterbacks shortly. I probably said in the next five years and it happened five years ago,” said Doug Williams about the media outlet. “If you write the top quarters in the league, I think the majority of them would be black.”
Many years ago, the quarterback position was considered too crucial for black athletes for black athletes, since this narrative has obviously changed in recent years.
CBS Sports reported that in the last three seasons there were records for the start of black quarterbacks in the NFL. At the beginning of the 2023 season there were 14 black signal callers at the top for their teams, then 15, which started the 2024 NFL season.
The most recent season begins on September 4, and the Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys begins at the quarterback position against the injuries of Philadelphia Eagles as the opposing quarterback. The game takes place in the Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania, since the Eagles they won against the Kansas City Chiefs last season were presented in a matchup with two opposing Black Quarterbacks for the second time, since the two quarterbacks were presented to each other in 2023.
