Sports betting stocks slide after Illinois lawmakers approve tax hike

Both chambers of Illinois' state legislation have passed a budget that contains a tax of 25 cents per bet. With the first 20 million online sports betting, every financial year increased and rose to 50 cents per bet.

Illinois governor JB Pritzker made a statement in which he would sign the budget, said local news reports.
