Three Buildings Above Grade at CAMH’s Queen Street Redevelopment

In the meantime there are three new structures in the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (Camh) Queen Street West Campus of Queen Street. The projects of the 27-hectare location in Toronto's district of Trinity Bellwoods are all a block south of CMAH's new Queen Street building that have been completed in the past half dozen years, and include the Discovery Center in Stokes Center in Stokes and Shaw Street, the safe building of the Stokes and the strong and the Street of the Doctor's Association.

The seven-story Discovery Center was designed by KPMB Architects and Treeanorhl and will summarize research and educational programs in a wooden chaplain facility with a curved facade in the Shaw Street. In the west, Diamond Schmitt Architects developed both the seven-story safe care and restoration building, a forensic 200-bed facility for mental health and the expansion of the seven-story Doctor's Association expansion, which includes the institutional space with a multi-storey parkade.

In April 2025 in the direction of Shaw Street in the direction of Shaw Street, the location of the Discovery Center at the East End shows the work that drives above the class after completing its individual basement level. Staging zones and modular trailers line the scope. The facility is increased in two rounded volumes with wooden fins and steps back in terraces above the road, with landscape decks and a glazed pavilion in the class.

In May 2025 to the northwest, the three underground levels of the safe care and recreational building were almost complete, supported by two cranes that were positioned in the south and north end. Concrete pillars and reinforcement rods rise from the east side of the P1 level with extensive formwork. The excavation scope shows Holz, which remains along the north and west heights. After the expansion, the building will contain a U-shaped mass with north and south wings. To the left behind the expansion of the Doctor's Association Building continues with work on the fifth floor.

In this Southwest view over the Stokes Street in June 2025, the expansion of the Doctor's Association Building reached its sixth floor, whereby the first formwork for the seventh floor at the South End is available. The crane is positioned on the south side. Blue weather protection and insulation are visible on the right side on the right side.

In August 2025 to the north, the formwork for the plate on the third floor is available in the Discovery Center, whereby the striking crooked shape of the building now appears along the east height. Temporary wooden edges form the flowing lines that define the facade, while scaffolding and support posts support the increased plate. Rebar and channel are set on the third floor for an impending placement of liquid concrete.

This month we look at the campus to the northwest of all three projects.

On the right, the Discovery Center has risen into the plate on the fourth floor.

In the middle, the safe building for care and restoration for concrete columns, walls and formwork for its walls on the second floor has, whereby the plate is partially formed on the second floor and is available from deck to the north end.

On the far left, the expansion of the Doctor's Association Building on seven floors, which is supported by the support of posts at each level and supported with blue weather protection over the roof line, passes while the work passes to the mechanical penthouse.
