Technology stocks have outperformed the broader markets over the past decade. Thanks to the bull run, the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 Index (NDX) gained over 356% in value compared to a 160% rise in the S&P 500 Index (SPX).

As technology stocks have shone over the past decade, TipRanks recognizes the top 10 analysts on Wall Street in the sector. Some analysts have outperformed on stock picks and generated significant returns on their recommendations.

TipRanks analyzed every stock recommendation made by technology sector analysts over the past decade to create this list. The ranking reflects the analysts’ ability to generate returns from their stock ratings and price targets.

TipRanks’ algorithms calculated the average return and statistical significance of each rating, as well as the analysts’ overall success rate. Every assessment made in the past decade has been measured over a year.

TipRanks used its Experts Center tool to identify the top ten analysts with a high success rate.

Mark Lipacis tops the list. Lipacis has an overall success rate of 71%. Chipmaker received its best rating Nvidia (NVDA). His NVDA share buy call from February 8, 2016 to February 8, 2017 produced an attractive return of 374.8%.

2. Rick Schafer—Oppenheimer

Rick Schafer is second on the list and has a 73% success rate. His top pick was also NVDA stock. The analyst generated a profit of 190.7% with his buy recommendation for Nvidia from 08/16/2019 to 08/16/2020.

3. Quinn Bolton-Needham

Needham analyst Quinn Bolton is ranked #3 in TipRank’s top 10 tech analysts list. Bolton has a 63% success rate. Bolton’s best recommendation was ACM Research (ACMR), a company that manufactures semiconductor equipment. The analyst returned 608.4% from August 19, 2019 to August 19, 2020 by rating ACMR as Buy.

4. Colin Rusch-Oppenheimer

Colin Rusch ranks fourth on this list. The five-star analyst has an overall success rate of 54%. Alex Zukin took sixth place. The analyst has a 67% success rate. His top recommendation was asana (ASAN), a work management platform. Zukin’s call to buy ASAN stock generated a solid return of 431.6% from October 26, 2020 to October 26, 2021.

7. Ross Seymore—Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank analyst Ross Seymore ranks seventh on this list with a 74% success rate. Seymore’s best decision was to buy shares in Ambarella (AMBA), a fabless semiconductor design company. The recommendation returned 150% from November 5, 2012 to November 5, 2013.

8. Shaul Eyal – TD Cowen
