A shocking incident of road rage is making the rounds on social media, showing a Toronto Uber driver jumping out of his vehicle mid-ride to chase a cyclist while confused passengers in the backseat film the action.
The video shows an exchange between a cyclist and the Uber driver in question just outside Maple Leaf Gardens at the corner of Carlton and Church.
The cyclist is then seen turning left from Carlton Street onto Church Street. At this point, the Uber driver gets out and gives chase, running across several lanes of traffic before catching up to the cyclist and disappearing around the corner.
Several shocked passengers can be heard laughing, in disbelief at what they saw.

The video, posted on TikTok on September 22, has received nearly 200,000 likes and nearly 3,000 comments at the time of writing.
“Toronto at its finest,” wrote one user.
Another commenter joked that the ride should have earned the driver “5 stars for entertainment.”
While some apparently found the incident entertaining, an Uber spokesperson told blogTO that “this behavior is concerning.”
“We want every Uber experience to feel safe, respectful and positive, and we have asked the user for more details so we can investigate the case,” they added.
The transport platform’s community guidelines explicitly state that “aggressive, confrontational or harassing behavior,” such as that observed in this incident, “is not allowed.”
Uber riders are encouraged to report such incidents through the app or the Uber safety incident reporting hotline.
