Towers climbed when the crosstown community in Don Mills and Eginton progresses
The 60-Acre Crosstown Community Redevelopment Has Continued to Transform The Former Ibm/Celestica Campus at Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue Since Urbantoronto's Last Update in November, 2024. The Masterplan Layers High-Rise Towers, Mid-Rise Blocks, Townhomes, Offices, Retail, and Community Amenities, Anchored by the Upcoming Don Valley Station on Eglinton Line 5 and Future Ontario Line 3 Exchange.
With a view to the northeast over the crosstown community center at the beginning of this year, the three high-rise buildings of a crosstown I, II, III left are seen. Their upper floors still show outdoors and naked mechanical penthouse over partially closed facades. In the middle of the right, the generations of rent tower had come to the upper floors, where the light cladding rises more than halfway. On the far right, the completed CROSSTODTOWN PLACE office building with its uniform curtain wall and the complete protruding diamond motifs is located. Large parts of the location do not remain built between these main elements.

In June 2025 we received a closer drone recording of the 32, 34 and 39-story high-rise towers of a crosstown, which was designed by core architects for Aspen Ridge Homes. The towers are fully with dark window wall and glass end of staggered bays and built -in balcony sections. The cranes were removed from the towers, although the mechanical concrete penthouses are exposed and unfinished by two of them on their west height.

The following month, the Crest, a medium rise north of the first three towers, is shown in its almost distant shape, with the curved volume with medium risk looking back over the sixth floor to create a terrace profile that conveys between the podium and the three towers. The facade is defined by changing white frames that create a rhythmic grid that emphasizes the horizontal lines of each stepstock. On the structure, the black -clad mechanical penthouse offers a contrasting cap.

This month we look north to the completed crosstown location in the foreground, which was designed by the core architects for metrus properties, whereby the nine-story uniform curtain wall is interrupted by angular, diamond-shaped project. Copper -tuned cladding frames work on the input roof, while new hardscaping, planters and lighting elements define the public area in the class. In the distance to the left is the 27-story generations of rent tower, which was designed by architects-alliance for Aspen Ridge Homes and Larco Investments. It is structurally equipped, with the southern height still organizing a building lift.

When you look to the southeast, the work continues over the podium and the tower facades. The tower is now enclosed with dark glazing and light panels, whereby reconstructed limestone plates are used as allusion to the IBM heir to the place. The projecting volume of the base shows sections of the tanning insulation and the blue weather protection in the west height, in which an additional final cladding is to be installed. A boom lift extends to the fourth floor. The curtain wall is largely available in the degree, with the wooden panels that still mark the installation.

In the meantime, the preparation for the future Townhomes in Crosstown on Block 8 is in progress, which was designed by VA3 Design for Aspen Ridge Homes. The excavation equipment is visible on the right of a newly cut ditch that runs over the middle of the property.

In addition to the now active location in Townhouse, several other components of the master plan remain in the pipeline. In the north, Lily (Block 9) is planned as a 8- and 9-story condominium building, which was designed by core architects for Aspen Ridge Homes along the Moriyama Drive. At the eastern edge of the municipality, Block 6c will bring a 39-story residential tower with core architects for Aspen Ridge Homes, which was recently promoted in July 2025 by a site-plan submission. In the meantime in the northeastern corner of the location, the Don Mills Community Recreation Center, designed by Maclennan Jaarn's Miller Architects, was sailed. The application for the location plan was submitted in August 2025.

After the complete expansion, the development will contain buildings from 11.52 million to 135.02 m high and deliver 4.921 residential units.
