UrbanToronto Year-End Poll: Vote on the Best Buildings of 2024, presented by Sapphire Balconies

Presented by

It's that time again! After another 365 days of city-building, we're back with our 11th annual UrbanToronto year-end reader survey. Brought to you this year by our friends at Sapphire Balconies, the survey is your chance to vote on your favorite new builds completed in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area in the last 12 months.

Included are projects for which we have photographic confirmation of the completed buildings. So it may be that some completions in 2024 don't show up in the survey until next year, while we include some projects that were completed at the end of 2023 but were not yet good photos at the time of last year's survey.

Although we provide an image for each building here, no building can be fully described with just one photo. So if you are not familiar with a project, you can click on the project link to go to its thread where you can find many more images. (The photographer's credit can also be found by clicking on the links.)

The survey includes 91 buildings, another record number, to choose from. Candidates are grouped into size categories so you can choose eight favorites, one per category:

  • 6-7 floors – 19 projects
  • 8-9 floors – 10 projects
  • 10-13 floors – 13 projects
  • 14-19 floors – 12 projects
  • 20-29 floors – 10 projects
  • 30-39 floors – 16 projects
  • 40-49 floors – 7 projects
  • Over 50 floors – 4 projects

If more than one building has been completed in a multi-stage project in 2024, the project will be found in the category representing the tallest building in the project, that is, if both a 10-story and a 15-story project have been completed in that year, the project will be displayed in the category in which other 15-story buildings are grouped.

Below you will find all the buildings in each category. At the bottom of the page you can access the survey via a link.
