Valhalla Village Phase 1 Topped Off in Etobicoke

Both towers in Phase 1 of Valhalla Village in Etobicoke have reached their peak since UrbanToronto's last upgrade in March 2025. KingSett Capital's BDP Quadrangle-designed Bloor Street West and The East Mall rental community has completed structural work on its 11-story East Tower and 30-story West Tower. The project will deliver 172 affordable housing units to the Eatonville-Bloorlea neighborhood.

In May 2025, the 30-story tower reached approximately its 20th floor, and roofing and formwork advanced to the next levels at its northern end. The modular cladding, consisting of white precast panels with window modules framed in black aluminum, extended ten stories above the podium on the east side and twelve stories along the north side on either side of the construction elevator. Below, the ground level remains unglazed.

Looking east from Highway 427 in August, the west tower is 30 stories, the residential floors are complete, seven stories are awaiting cladding installation. Behind it is crowned the 11-story east tower, with alternating white and gray precast panels completing most of its west facade. The construction elevator remains attached to it.

Looking southwest across the East Mall at Gibbs Road in late September, the 11-story building presents a fully enclosed facade, its modular cladding system finished with alternating white and gray panels and black aluminum-framed window modules. The podium below is finished in dark brickwork, where ground floor openings await final hardware and signage for the site's retail and community offerings. Behind it rises the 30-story west tower, whose concrete form is clearly visible. Three living levels still need to be covered.

A drone image looking northwest on September 30 shows both mechanical penthouses, the center building fully clad, the remains of the high-rise still in raw concrete, its walls and slab edges awaiting the same modular cladding system applied to the residential floors below.

In this northeast view from Dundas Street this month, all of the west tower's façade cladding can be seen, now in place on all floors except the mechanical penthouse. The crane still visible here was dismantled just a few days after this photo.

Phase 1 stands at 42.5m and 98.3m and will bring a total of 494 rental units to the area. Phase 2 will feature 21- and 38-story towers designed by Zeidler Architecture.
