Y&S Condos Tops Off at Yonge and Soudan in Midtown Toronto

In Y&S Condos, the 38-story residential tower by Tribute Communities and Tenblock in Torontos Yonge-Eginton area, the work in Y&S Condos was held. The high -rise was designed by Graziani + Corazza Architects and has made some progress in October 2024 since the last update of Urbantoronto, with the deterioration and glazing now extending most of the tower. The development is located in the 2161 Yonge Street, just a few steps from the Eglinton station on Yonge Line 1 and the upcoming Eglinton line 5 and continues to change the northeastern corner of Yonge and Soudan with its staggered massaging and dark expression.

In November 2024, prefabricated concrete slabs were arrived on a flat bed in the Yonge Street. The load includes large structural facade elements with pre -shaped openings.

This view in the south, recorded in March 2025, shows the north and west heights, where the construction has reached around 36th floor. The podium is fully included in the seventh floor from frameworkless curtain wall glazing below the depth. At the top, the window wall system with gray and white spandrel panels and black pawns was installed up to the 25th floor.

At the beginning of this month, the South Elevation Fronting Soudan Avenue was observed with a more glazed area that packs the eastern end of the podium. In the Yonge Street, the facade changes to a composition of black FECASTCADDING panels with beaten windows. The staggered steps from the podium to the tower volume are expressed by distributed and projecting elements.

In a drone view that was recently seen to the west, the cladding and glazing are completed up to the 31st floor. At the top, a black roof membrane was applied over the concrete slab, which corresponds to the sound of the tower facade, while in the west the crews on staged materials are active on the mechanical penthouse. Additional staging is also visible on the podium volume on the north side.

This drone view from the northeast shows the location of the full mass and the Y&S owner apartments in the middle of other Yonge Street cloud scratches. The pronounced fall above the 12th floor in the south height visually marks the transition from the podium to the tower and contributes to a graded architectural profile.

As soon as Y&S Condos are 130.77 m high, 380 new residential units are added to the Yonge Eeginton area.

Urbantoronto will continue to pursue progress in this development. In the meantime, however, you can find out more about this from our database file linked below. If you want, you can join the conversation in the associated project forum thread or leave a comment in the room provided on this page.
