The area with a low rise of St. Clair Avenue West and the Caledonia Road could have a dramatic change in the coming years, since plans for an 18-story building with mixed use were submitted to the northeastern corner. The proposal was designed by KFA architects and planners for block wall masonry 18 Inc. and would rise in Toronto's district of Corso Italia about a kilometer east of the planned St. Clair -Alte Weston station. Three of the four corners of the intersection are now subject to a renovation suggestions of similar heights.

1492 St. Clair Avenue West is currently housing a one -story bakery and one -story car wash. The environment includes an apartment with low use with employment and retail. In November 2023, a preliminary submission was submitted to the city in January 2024. Feedback from City Stabs and the office of the city council Alejandra Bravo informed the revisions about the size and grain. In mid-2025, the KFA architects + planners submitted a complete application to the zone division to the city on behalf of the developer.

The proposal tries to renovate the corner plot with an 18-story mixed building that reaches a height of 58.25 m. The building footprint covers approximately 81.7% of the site, with 450 m² retail accused St. Clair and the most important living silver silver to Caledonia. The entire gross boding area of 16,621 m² would consist of 16,171 million residential areas for a floor surface index of 10.44 -fold cover of the 1,592 m² plot.

The tower would contain 211 condominium units in a mixture of 102 a bedroom, 88 two bedrooms and 21 three bedrooms that match the family -friendly residential destinations of the city. The tower would be served by two elevators, which leads to a ratio of one elevator per 106 units, which indicates that higher normal speed lifts are required for immediate service. The amenities in the interiors are planned in the grade of Caledonia, while outdoor initiatives would occupy the roof on the mechanical penthouse. The amenities would be divided a total of 844 m² and evenly between the interior on the ground floor and the outdoor area on the roof next to the mechanical penthouse.

Parking is proposed in the class and in a one -time underground garage, which is accessible via two rear lines at the back. Plans include 22 places for residents and 13 for visitors. Bicycle parking spaces would include 190 long-term and 43 short-term rooms as well as 10 additional short-term short-time stands. A two-way bike track is planned for the east side of the Caledonia Road. Along Caledonia, a landscape promenade would frame the primary accommodation.

The 512 St. Clair Streetcar has less than a minute distance and connects with line 1. The bus routes combine with lines 1 and 2 and the Yorkdale Go Bus Terminal. The St. Clair -Alte Weston Go Station is planned for about one kilometer to the west on the Kitchener line. As soon as the location was completed, it still falls 200 meters outside the associated border to the Gravnger area limit.

The proposal combines other intensification projects and suggestions along the St. Clair West corridors. In the east, a 9-story middle house is proposed in Earlscourt Condos. Immediately west of the Caledonia Road, both corners are used. Further west there are suggestions for 11 floors in the 1745 St Clair West, 29 floors in the 290 Old Weston Road and a trio of towers from 30 to 45 floors in 1799 St Clair West, the last two next to the Go station.
