BILD Honours Industry Leaders at 2026 Chair’s Dinner

At yesterday’s Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) 2026 Chair’s Dinner, the organization recognized several individuals for their contributions to the Greater Toronto Area’s construction and land development industry. The evening included the induction of Myron Pestaluky and Gary Gregoris into the BILD Hall of Fame, both of whom were honored posthumously, as well as the presentation of the Chair’s Award of Merit to Gabriel DiMartino, senior executive vice president at Trinity Point Developments, and Jude Tersigni, senior vice president of planning and development at Menkes Developments.

The BILD Chair’s Award of Merit recognizes members who contribute significant time and expertise to support the industry. The award is often given to individuals whose efforts occur largely behind the scenes, helping to advance advocacy initiatives and industry priorities through volunteer leadership and collaboration.

“Mr. Tersigni and Mr. DiMartino are incredible examples of individuals who do their best to represent the interests of the construction and real estate development industry,” said Jason Sheldon, Chairman of BILD. “Their efforts impact every area of our industry. From local changes to statewide and federal issues, they are involved in steering the future of the company, and I am thrilled to recognize them with the Chair’s Award of Merit.”

DiMartino was recognized for his advocacy work and continued commitment to the association. As Senior Executive Vice President at Trinity Point Developments, he regularly communicates with city and regional staff in the Greater Toronto Area, representing industry interests and helping to resolve planning and development issues. DiMartino previously served as co-chair of BILD’s York Chapter and continues to support the organization as a regional advisor.

Tersigni was honored for his sustained commitment to planning and development policy advocacy. As Senior Vice President of Planning and Development at Menkes Developments, he has played an active role in advancing industry perspectives in local and state discussions. Tersigni is also a member of the BILD board and is involved as an industry representative in numerous municipal working groups.

In addition to the Awards of Merit, the BILD Hall of Fame recognizes members whose careers have had a lasting impact on the construction and property development industry and the association itself. Candidates will be selected for their long-term impact and leadership within the sector, forming a group of individuals whose work has contributed to the growth of communities in the Greater Toronto Area.

“In recent years, the industry has lost two outstanding and irreplaceable people who shaped so many of us,” said Dave Wilkes, President and CEO of BILD. “Myron Pestaluky and Gary Gregoris were friends to all of us, they were industry leaders and they were respected and passionate advocates. We miss them greatly and it is an honor to induct them into the BILD Hall of Fame.”

Pestaluky was recognized for his more than four-decade career in the land development industry. As founder and president of Delta Urban Inc., he has earned a reputation as a strong leader. At the Chair’s Dinner, Delta Urban’s Maria Venturo reflected on Pestaluky’s legacy while his wife, Kelly, accepted the Hall of Fame honor on his behalf.

Gregoris was recognized for a career marked by collaboration and advocacy. He was a member of the BILD board and was actively involved in the association’s initiatives. The event remembered his contributions to the construction industry and his role as a dedicated advocate, with his wife Laurie accepting the honor on his behalf.
