“At most one year.”

Although the future NBA Hall of Famer Chris Paul is currently not in a team and is an unreserved free agent, he has announced that this next season can be very good.

According to Yahoo Sports, based on a recently conducted conversation that the point guard with journalist Jemele Hill led to the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) last month, he told her that the family time in this phase of life in the league was more than half of his life in the league. Paul is currently not signed with a team, but will most likely be with you as soon as the previous season gets going.

When Hill asked how long he had expected to play, he replied by telling her: “At most one year”.

For someone who has been playing professionally for 20 years, he started all 82 games last season so that he can still play. Its average values for the last season was 8.8 points, 7.4 templates per game, and he shot 42.7% from the field and 37.7% from the 3-point strip. Not bad for a 40-year-old man.

“I just finished my 20th season what a blessing is. I am more than half of my life in the NBA, which is a blessing. But in these years they don't come back with their children.”

“My grandma, who observes every single game that I play every single evening, these moments, I just can't see and hug them, along with all my uncles and aunts, as much as I like it.”

Chris Paul played for seven teams throughout his NBA career. His first team was the New Orleans Hornets (2005-11). From there he played for the Los Angeles Clippers (2011-17), Houston Rockets (2017-19), Oklahoma City Thunder (2019-20), Phoenix Sun (2020-23), Golden State Warriors (2023-24) and San Antonio Spurs (2024-25).

With his skills, he can still lead a team, and only the time will say which team will register for his last season.

In Paul's career, he achieved an average of 17 points, 9.2 assists, 4.4 rebounds and two steals per game.
