The central bank of the Lithuania Central Bank announced on Monday that he had contacted itself Robinhood After explaining his tokenized stocks after the Openai concerns regarding the product last week.

“We contacted Robinhood and are waiting for clarifications with regard to the structure of Openai and SpaceX -Tock -token as well as the associated consumer communication,” said the spokesman for the Bank of Lithuania, Giedrius Å niukas, to CNBC via e -Mail.

“Only after we have received and evaluated this information can we evaluate the legality and compliance with these specific instruments. The information for investors must be provided in a clear, fair and non -misleading language.”

The Bank of Lithuania is Robinhood's senior supervisory authority in the European Union after the company has received a broker license and a license for Krypto Asset Service Providers from the central bank. Robinhood was not immediately available for a comment if it was contacted by CNBC.

It comes shortly after Openaai, which distanced itself from Robinhoods “Stock Token” product. The product introduced on June 30th offers users in the EU the opportunity to invest in shares in the form of blockchain-based tokens, according to Robinhood, for private companies such as Openaai and SpaceX.

After Robinhood announced of the new token offer, Openai went to the social media platform X to warn the user that “these” Openai -token “is not an Openai's own capital”.

“We did not get together with Robinhood, were not involved and did not support it,” said the company at this time, adding “any transfer of Openai's own capital required our approval – we did not approved any transfer” and asked the users to contact the product with caution.

In response to the warning of Openai last week, Robinhood had stated that his stocks token “retail investors give indirect exposure to private markets, open access and be made possible by Robinhood's share of ownership on a special purpose vehicle”.
