Perplexity CEO: AI Coding Tools Transformed the Way We Work

The AI search engines -Stup -Pranger has been used to use AI coding tools internally -and states that the engineers were noticeably more productive.

Aravind Srinivas, CEO of confusion, told Y Combinator that the start -up had made it “mandatory” to its engineers to use AI coding tools such as Cursor or Github Copilot. These tools can generate code and debug programs.

Relatives: AI already writes about 30% code at Microsoft and Google. The following means for software engineers.

Srinivas said that confusion engineers have previously achieved measurable results: The use of the tools has reduced the “experimentation period” for new tasks of “three or four days to literally,” he said.

“This degree of change is incredible,” said Srinivas. “The speed at which we can repair and send mistakes for production is crazy.”

The AI search engine of confusion recorded growth of 20% per month with 780 million in May.

At the Tech summit of Bloomberg in May, Srinivas predicted that “one billion questions per week” would avoid confusion within a year. He pointed out that the AI search engine, when it started for the first time in 2022, worked 3,000 inquiries a day and rose to 30 million inquiries by May.

“It was phenomenal growth,” said Srinivas at the event.

Nevertheless, there are “problems,” said Srinivas about the use of AI coding assistants and found that the tools can introduce new mistakes with which software engineers are not familiar and do not know how to be resolved.

Last week, the confusion of Comet showed a AI-powered web browser who occupies Google Search and Google Chrome. Comet uses the AI search engine of confusion as a standard tool, whereby the company's core products and the center for users are used.

In May, the confusion was reportedly in late level for a financing round of $ 500 million, which the company would evaluate with $ 14 billion.

Relatives: “I build it myself”: Morgan Stanley has created a AI tool to fix the most annoying part of the coding. That's how it works.
