The Whitfield Nears Completion as Tower Crane Comes Down

After his crane has now been completely dismantled, the Whitfield of Menkes Developments and Core Development Group has entered the final construction phase in the St. Lawrence district of Toronto. The 39-story condominium was designed by Giannone Petricone Associates with Rafael + Bigauskas architects as architect of record and stands on the northeastern corner of the Front Street East and the Sherbourne Street. The last update of urbantoronto was in December 2024; We will look back on some progress from summer.

At the end of June 2025 to the northeast in the northeast, only the top living floor awaits you, while the mechanical penthouse is wrapped in blue weather protection in preparation for its final cladding. The tower crane remains on the spot.

In the beginning of July 2025, close -ups captured the mechanical penthouse, while the installation of aluminum cladding progresses in the southern and western locations. The panels have vertical seams that reflect the red aluminum fins of the tower below. The tree manners work on the roof and on two scissor lines on the northwestern corner, where sections of the blue seal are exposed. At the top, components of a derrick nearby are staged and signal the upcoming Crane breakdown.

From all future locations from Grainger to the northeast, this wide shot shows the east -height, which is now completely disguised. The mechanical penthouse is enclosed in aluminum panels, while the Derrick projects on the right. The building blocks remain attached near the northeastern corner of the building.

A few days later, a second, smaller derrick lowers a disassembled segment of the first Derrick. The red and white section is carefully guided past the fully dressed upper floors of the tower by a series of strap blind blocks and racks with the tower.

The curved podium from the intersection of the Sherbourne Street and the Front Street East can be seen from the Sherbourne Street and the Front Street East, and is provided with dyed, brave fish lamps and forms continuous horizontal ligaments. Along the South Face of the tower, three levels of balcony glass guards were installed, with the green mesh tarpaulin draped over the five floors above it, while the railing and the final work are continued.

In addition to black handrails and Black Metal, the balcony awakening have plate edge covers with clear glazes. The scaffolding along the panel of the panel remains at the bottom, since the final thesis continues for the tower transfer.

The Whitfield is at 130 m and will accommodate 484 condominiums, with the full occupancy to be anticipated by March 2026.
